Friday 27th – Our festival kicks off with a whisky themed and locally sourced 4 course menu. This will be a relaxed affair and a chance to sample some fantastic food in the company of the owners and management team in our Garden Restaurant. The chefs at Dornoch Castle work extremely hard to maintain the highest standards, and have maintained AA status for 6 years running. There will also be live, traditional music in our world renowned whisky bar stocked with many rare and unique single malts. Residents will have this meal included in their rate and for non-residents the evening will cost

Saturday 28th – A full programme for the Saturday sees us host a Grand Tasting Event in the Castle Gardens. There will be independent companies and bottlers presenting their products and offering samples. We will also have our own stall from Dornoch Distillery featuring the latest experimental batches and the Carnegie Whisky Cellars, Dornoch’s own independent whisky retailer. Our VIP for the day, Stephen Rankin of Gordon & Macphail will be on hand to offer his enormous knowledge of whisky. For the food lovers, there will be several street food stalls for you to explore as well as local cheese, savouries, chocolates and cakes. The times for the day will be 12-4 followed by 6-9. In the evening, there will again be live traditional music in our bar. Residents will receive food vouchers for the day whereas tickets for non-residents will be £25 for the full day which will include a voucher to be exchanged for drams and a Glencairn tasting glass. ***Tickets Still Available***
Sunday 29th – Join the Thompson Brothers for a boozy brunch, kicking off with a gin cocktail and continuing with a delicious brunch served in the Garden Restaurant. Afterwards, you will be given an exclusive tour of the distillery and given a sample of their new make spirit. ***£30 Sold Out***
As the festival begins to wind down, join us in the Garden Restaurant for a relaxed Sunday evening meal. Head chef Brian has devised another menu themed on locally sourced and fresh ingredients. Residents will have dinner included and we encourage booking your table in advance.
At 7PM the Thompson brothers will be hosting a ‘Old & Rare Bottle’ tasting in the hotel whisky bar. Spend a relaxed evening as they guide you in sampling old, rare and vintage whiskies. ***£60 Sold Out***
