What is the deposit and cancellation policy?
We request a deposit of £50.00 per room to confirm a booking. Our cancellation policy is as follows: All deposits will be forfeited if cancelled within 28 days of arrival date.
Within 14 days of arrival date, 50% of the total booking rate quoted or £50.00 deposit, whichever is greater. Within 7 days of arrival date the rate quoted will be charged in full. For Discounted Rates/Special offers there are no changes or refunds allowed to the booking and a non-refundable deposit of £50.00 per person is required to confirm.

Do you have lifts?
No we don’t have a lift. Our garden rooms are located on the ground and 1st floor and Castle rooms on 1st, 2nd & 3rd floors. If you have walking difficulties please request a ground floor room. We can also offer assistance with luggage.
Do you have disabled rooms?
Yes, we have 2 wheelchair-adapted bedrooms on the ground floor. These can be made up as twin bedded or double bedded rooms. They feature roll-in showers and hand railings in the bathrooms. The hotel has ramps to the doors and the restaurant and bar areas are accessible. The only public room that cannot be reached is the resident’s lounge on the 1st floor.
What facilities do you have?
We have the main bar area, which has a lovely open fire and some comfortable settees. The Garden restaurant, which is in the bright conservatory area, this is where breakfast and dinner is served. And there is also a resident’s lounge on the 1st floor, which also features open-fire and comfortable seating.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is available from 2.30pm on your arrival date, however if you plan on arriving earlier, please let us know and we will try and have the room ready earlier. Check-out is by 10.30am.
Do you accept dogs?
We only allow dogs in the basic garden chalet rooms. Please advise us if you plan to bring your dog so we can allocate your room accordingly.
Do you have family rooms?
We have 2 Garden Standard Family size rooms, which hold up to 4 persons. They have 1 double bed, 1 single bed and space for 1 camp bed or cot. One is located on the ground floor and the other on the 1st floor. Some of the Castle rooms can take an extra 1 or 2 camp beds. We advise booking as far in advance as possible when family rooms are required, as they do book up fairly quickly.
We have a Castle suite, this room consists of the main bedroom with king-size 4-poster bed, a second room which is has 1 single bed and space for a camp bed, this room can also be used as a sitting area as both rooms have tv's. The 2 rooms share a bathroom and can sleep up to 4 persons.

Can you arrange golf?
We are happy to help with checking golf tee-time availability, however bookings and confirmations are the responsibility of individual guests and must be done directly with yourself.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
We offer personalised gift vouchers for a variety of accommodation or dinner offers.
Do you have a car park?
Yes, we have 2. One is in the courtyard at the side of the castle and the other is a small car park at the back. There is also street parking outside the front door of the hotel; we find many guests use this instead.
How can I get to Dornoch from Inverness?
We are located just under 1 hours drive from Inverness. A taxi costs approximately £60.00 each way. Citylink coaches come from Inverness Bus Station around 5 times per day, the journey lasts around 90 minutes, their timetable is on www.citylink.co.uk. Alternatively trains from Inverness would take you to Tain, which is a 10 minute taxi ride from Dornoch, they runs around 2-3 times per day and take just over 1 hour. Do you offer discounts rates for groups?
We only offer a discount if all 24 rooms are taken, we would then give 10% reduction to everyone.
Can we fly to Inverness?

Do you have internet access?
There is WIFI access in the hotels bar and terrace lounge areas. Please contact reception for the access code, there is no charge for residents wishing to use this service. If you do not have a laptop, Dornoch Library has computers for public use, and is located across the street from the hotel. We are unable to print documents for you.
